I've mentioned the Google alerts that I have set for The Sandbar before, and several posts on this blog have come from the interesting things those alerts have found.
I was surprised one day to see that another Sandbar (in Arizona- one of the other Sandbar's that is searched for frequently on the internet) had also recently acquired a Wii and was holding Rock Band tournaments.
This website gave a review of The Sandbar in Paradise Valley, AZ, and their new Rock Band events. This is similar to what Dave has thought about doing with our Rock Band setup upstairs. Bring a few friends, sign up, and pick your song. We don't have a lot of space for an audience, but it would be fun to set up lawn chairs on the beach for people to hang out on while cheering on their friends.
One of these days soon we hope to have some sort of organized Rock Band tournaments. Heather even had a great idea for a t-shirt for the winners. I can't tell you what it is, though, it's a surprise. But maybe you can win one sometime.
